Brandy Alexander Cocktail Recipe
Embodying some of our favorite winter flavors, this Brandy Alexander is a creamy, spicy cocktail that tastes similar to egg nog, but it’s a bit more elegant and not as heavy. This classic cocktail became popular in the early 20th century and is a variation of an earlier gin-based cocktail simply called an Alexander. While it traditionally uses creme de cacao, a French chocolate liquor, we decided to use Baileys for a twist. Get warm and drink up, y’all!
Directions:
Build in a short shaker tin: Brandy, Baileys and half and half, then ice to fill shaker. Shake it hard for 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe glass. Garnish lightly with nutmeg. Cheers!
