Welcome Chef Eric to the Tupelo Honey Family
Please help us welcome Chef Eric Gabrynowicz to the Tupelo Honey family as our new Executive Chef and VP of Culinary!
Taking Southern traditions and updating them is what Tupelo Honey does best. Chef Eric is now part of our team to keep us moving towards that goal! As a four-time James Beard Award semifinalist, Top Newcomer from Zagat, and Food and Wine Magazine’s “Peoples Best New Chef- New York.” he is bringing even more finesse to our kitchens. Our similar philosophy around a responsibly sourced and flavor driven dishes, makes this partnership especially exciting for our menu and our guests.
After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Eric was hired by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and was quickly promoted to Sous Chef at the acclaimed Union Square Cafe. In 2010, Eric became Executive Chef and Partner of Restaurant North, a farm-to-table driven concept in Upstate New York. Tupelo Honey and Chef Eric share a commitment to community, quality and innovation.
One of Chef’s first orders of business will be co-authoring a third national cookbook along with VP of Operations, E. Tyler Alford and Elizabeth Sims. The third book, published by Andrews McMeel, will center on social gatherings and southern entertaining, evoking the same mountain spirit as the previous two books. The new book will feature 60 craft cocktail recipes as well as 40 small plates for entertaining. So stay tuned!
