2019 – Our South Asheville location is expanding!
We are thrilled to announce our South Asheville location is expanding!
We’ve assumed the lease of the space directly adjacent to our Hendersonville Road location, which was previously occupied by MG Frame Shop. In order to expand and remodel, our South location will be closed beginning February 11th through March 4th.
Inspired by the changes made to the downtown Asheville location in July 2018, the southside restaurant will feature similar modern design elements, such as graphic tile accent walls, vintage lighting and Simone Wilson artwork. The Hendersonville Road location will continue to have its own unique identity, continuing the family focused approach and a bright atmosphere.
Some of the biggest changes will come to the outdoor space, which will be transformed into a garden patio featuring a forever lawn, equipped with a children’s play area, surrounded by a living greenery wall. In addition, a new folding glass window wall will separate the main dining room from the patio allowing for the entire space to easily transform into a cohesive indoor/outdoor space.
Enjoy New Menu Items
The re-opening will come with some exciting additions to the menu, noticeably the inclusion of our famous Honey Dusted Fried Chicken. The dish is a bone-in half-bird, brined for 24-hours, breaded with a house-made blend of herbs and spices, fried and topped with our signature “bee dust.” It will be available in its traditional plating or guests can dress their bird with several chef-inspired accoutrements such as HNG Farm sausage gravy and biscuit crumbles or tomato creole sauce, melted Havarti and Parmesan cheese (yum)!
Also debuting with the re-opening will be an expanded brunch menu, including both sweet and savory items. You will have the option of adding toppings like salted caramel & chocolate or banana pudding with Nilla Wafers to either our famous sweet potato pancakes or new brioche french toast. The restaurant will also introduce a selection of customizable eggs benedicts, like the “All I ‘Avo’ Wanted Benny” with two poached eggs, hollandaise, smashed avocado, Aleppo pepper and farmer’s cheese. Each benedict with be served over your choice of buttermilk biscuits, fried green tomatoes, or grilled asparagus.
